This is a typical Lakeland lake district scene with dry stone walls, sheep, fells etc.
When Susan originally painted this the dry stone wall was complete but after such a long and restricted period of her personal life has now ended (he left) she just couldn't have barriers anymore.
The fells in the distance signify hope for the future.
This makes it a significant piece of work in Susan's portfolio.
